The qualifications that we award our students require them to have a minimum of 120 guided learning hours, which we spread over 4 weeks. This means that we ensure that all students have a minimum 30 guided learning hours per week. This in turn equates to 6 hours teaching on Monday to Thursdays with 2 hours on Friday, and the remaining 4 hours per week as guided research, group activities, etc., supported by a teacher. There are then some homework and personal research, etc………. that each student has to undertake including preparation of a simple portfolio of evidence, especially if they are interested in writing and presentation.
Each student is assessed by us before they commence their course so that we can ensure that their studies are linked to their initial level of knowledge and understanding. Whilst they are at college they can have access to a teacher at any time during the normal college times. This does include the evenings because we also provide for evening courses. Of course you are also very welcome to telephone or email me at any time ( within reason, of course ! )
Weekends there will be some social activities. There are many kinds of activities arranged, such as field trips, going to the movies or plays, or visiting places.
